An audit report is an official inspection report prepared after examining whether an organization's financial transactions, accounts, records, and operations have been carried out properly and in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
The process of reviewing and verifying the income and expenditure accounts of institutions such as village panchayats, municipalities, government organizations, banks, companies, and cooperative societies is known as an “audit.” The findings and conclusions of this examination are documented in an audit report.
